Mapura Māngere Studios is in its second year of delivery. The project is open to people of all ages, outlooks, and levels of ability. No prior knowledge of art is needed and the more diverse the group the better. Friends and whanau are welcome. The programme is free, and all materials are supplied. The group are working on a number of projects which involve the participants making and then displaying art for public viewing. One project they are invovled in is to create artwork panels for Māngere Community Enviro Hub. Supporting the group to continue their workshops and to connect with local artists to deliver the programme Mapura’s own tutors.
