Vinesh Kumaran is a portrait photographer based in Māngere, South Auckland, who has
dedicated his career to capturing the heart of local communities. With a particular focus on
the diverse and vibrant stories that define the region, he builds personal connections with his
subjects, using photography as a means to foster trust and share their stories in a meaningful
